The Process

Confirm & Consult

We will schedule a phone call to confirm your date, discuss elements of the painting will be discussed, such as venue, theme, a specific key moment, others included, etc.

The Big Day
I will arrive 2-3 hours early to set up my oil paints and other materials, then begin working on the piece. I will take reference photos of a specific pose and during a special moment that you've chosen to represent in the painting. Throughout the event, the painting will unfold. ​Guests may come up and chat with me at any time!

Receiving the Painting
The painting will need to return to my studio for finishing touches and varnishing. Depending on the size and level of detail, the painting may take 1-4 months before returning to you because of the amount of time needed for oil paint to dry.
It will be worth the wait!

What materials do you use?
I use professional, archival-quality materials including oil paints, medium, and varnish, on linen canvas to ensure your piece lasts more than a lifetime. If you desire a larger canvas, then we may arrange that.

What can you add in the painting?
Just about anything! Choose any moment that you would like to be memorialized, whether that be your vows, first dance, exchanging cake, or other pose at any time of day. We will collaborate to discuss any specific details you would like added, including time of day, pets, wedding flowers, family members, and even passed family members to make your artwork truly personal.
Do you travel?
Yes, I travel! If you live more than 70 miles of my location (which includes the Nashville, Clarkesville, Jackson and Florence areas), then travel costs will be applied to the total price.

What will it cost?
Live wedding painting includes live entertainment and travel in addition to the materials, skill, experience, and, of course, the art work produced.
Pricing varies depending on the venue, level of detail, people included, complexity of the scene, canvas size, and potential travel fees. A 50% deposit fee is required to confirm your date.
